A Whale of a Year
Taking responsibility for one's actions and being able to forgive are the central themes in this delightful episode. David has managed to lose his sister's goldfish and Rachel is unable to forgive him. A quick trip with Mitzvah Mouse to a whale's belly to meet Jonah (played live by Avery Schreiber) teaches the children the true message of the Jewish New Year.
A Chanukah Mitzvah
While the rest of the family eagerly awaits the arrival of Chanukah, David would rather be Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer in the upcoming school play. Mitzvah Mouse intervenes and takes David and Rachel back in time to meet Judah Maccabee (Don Diamont). The kids join the Maccabee army to make sure that the flame of Judaism will always burn bright.
One Big Family
David and Rachel are helping their Mom prepare for the International Jewish Youth Group reunion seems doomed when disaster strikes - the family bookstore almost falls apart! But with the help of Mitzvah Mouse, Golda Meir (played live by Laurie Hendler) is brought in to inspire the kids to think of a way to save the reunion and the bookstore.
Light Unto the Nations
When a famous writer and champion of free speech comes to visit, David and Rachel don't want to give up their room and their freedom. Enter Mizvah Mouse who whisks the kids back to the 1880's, where they meet Emma Lazarus (Cathy Ladman), whose poem is inscribed on the Statue of Liberty. With a shpritz of his matzah meal, Mitzvah whisks David and Rachel back in time to meet some of the most important people in Jewish history.
