The evil prime minister, Haman, would have killed all the Jews, but Esther's uncle Mordechai found out about his plans. When Esther told the king that she, too, would have to die, he had Haman hanged. This is a Jewish story, but the Jews of Persia are not lily-white; they are as diverse as their neighbors-very refreshing!
